Walking off the Court

Jason Williams is leaving the basketball court after ten years of play. This announcement of retirement comes just after Williams signed with the Los Angeles clippers. Williams’ NBA career spans with Miami Heat, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings, and the short and recent Los Angeles Clippers. As far as point per game, Williams averages the number in the low to mid teens; varying depending with what team he was playing.

Playing Basketball Abroad

Brandon Jennings will be playing and spending a year abroad in Europe. Jennings will be playing for Virtus Roma, an Italian league basketball team. Instead of going off to college, Jennings will be playing a year of basketball in Europe. Jennings is learning to make adjust both on and off the court. For one, he will have to immerse himself in the foreign culture. Secondly, he will be playing full time in the European league. This is Jennings non-traditional route to get drafted by the NBA.

NBA Daft Talk

Fans are hoping for this too. Sometimes the players that look the most promising fail to deliver; sometimes not. It really is a toss up. But it’s fun to watch and track teams with the most promising draft picks and to see if they live up to their expectations.
