Jazzing up the Playoffs

When you think of the Utah Jazz, you don’t necessarily think of a team that is particularly resilient. Then again, how many teams are “resilient” especially in basketball where a lot is determined by long-chugging pushes during the year. But Jerry Sloan, coach of the Jazz, has had a rough year so far. In 09, he has lost one of his bosses, the owner of the Jazz, and two of his former teammates, one of whom was also a coach. Somehow, however, he has been able to hold up under all that difficulty. And the team is doing better than ever, even without Carlos Boozer in the lineup. They have beat both the Celtics and the Lakers. That’s where the team is at the moment and it will be interesting to see where they’re headed, if they can make the playoffs and how far in they can make it.
