With the Washington Wizards getting questioned about the Gilbert Arenas affair, the team hasn’t been able to focus. They haven’t been winning much lately anyhow, but this seems to be making it even harder. Several of them have already been into the police for questioning about the incident, which involved Arenas entering the stadium with some of his guns in hand. He put them in his locker, apparently to keep them away from his kids and then played around with some of his colleagues and them. This isn’t just an issue about having them at the Verizon Center, though the NBA is acting on its rules about that. It’s more about the Washington DC rules about guns and the fact that a person can’t have many kinds of weapons within city limits. There are various laws in play here, and Arenas would do well to keep a low profile for quite awhile moving forward.
